The part time courses run in partnership with City College Norwich will start in Autumn 2010 at the Future Projects multi-media and education centre in the west of Norwich.
The courses will run for 10 weeks and give students the opportunity to gain a level 1 Award in a music subject (Rockschool) as well as an Adult Literacy qualification (Edexcel).
Choose from these pathways;
Creative Music Producer Level 1 Award - for musicians who want to write, record and arrange music using computer based software. Ideal for those who have an interest in music software or those who are DJing and want to start producing their own music.
Performing Musician Level 1 Award - for those who want to write and perform in bands or as singer/songwriters. this courses also covers technical skiils for rehearsal level PAs. Ideal for those who have started playing an instrument or singing.
Both courses generate transferable skills which can be used in all walks of life. They are linked to government-approved and funded qualifications which have parity with GCSEs.
